Festival Wasted in Jarmen: A family festival full of surprises!
Next weekend, September 5th and 6th, the small town of Jarmen in Western Pomerania will be the setting for the exciting “Wasted in Jarmen” festival. The well-known punk band Feine Sahne Fischfilet and a dedicated team of hundreds of colleagues have put together a varied program for the whole family. A special highlight are the over 50 offers that are tailored to different age groups and have something for everyone. Nordkurier reports that entry is mostly free for locals, with the exception of the main acts on the big stage.
For everyone who wants to come, the Motoballplatz opens its doors on Thursday, September 4th at 12 p.m. The main day of the festival takes place on September 5th, with a departure on September 6th. The rush for tickets was enormous; the first tickets were sold out after the first day. If you still want to get a place, you can use the official ticket exchange on Tix4Gigs, although passing on tickets requires a power of attorney. Ostsee-Zeitung warns.
Diverse program with surprises
What can visitors expect? You can look forward to a varied program. One of the highlights is the film screening “König stops” on Thursday at 8:15 p.m., a documentary about the late Pastor Lothar König, a friend of the band. Beer yoga is also offered on Friday mornings at 8:30 a.m. on the beach at the bathing establishment. The popular Beaver Olympics also starts on Friday at 10 a.m. and promises an exciting competition against a fan team.
Those who enjoy sports can take part in football and volleyball tournaments and enjoy presentations by local clubs and institutions. The cultural highlights also include theater performances such as “Life is cheerful”, presented by the women's theater group “U100”, and an author reading with Dirk Laabs about his book “Attack on Germany”. The podcast duo “History Insufficient” will also be present and tell an entertaining anecdote. For younger visitors, the student band “Astropunks” can be seen on stage on Friday at 5:50 p.m.
Special regulations and arrival
The best way to get to the festival is via federal highway 110. Visitors should note that campsites and parking spaces can only be used once. There are two campsites where visitors can spend the night, even if there is no electricity - there are at least Dixi toilets and a toilet house with permanent toilets.
Young festival visitors under the age of 14 are in luck: they don't need their own ticket if they are accompanied by their parents. Anyone under the age of 16 must also be accompanied by an adult, and minors are only allowed to stay on the festival grounds until midnight. The organizers also provide important information about entry, such as wristband exchange and luggage regulations. Large bags, glass bottles and dangerous items are not allowed, but water in plastic bottles up to one liter is allowed.
Overall, “Wasted in Jarmen” promises an exciting weekend for all ages, with music, sport, culture and numerous surprises - an event not to be missed!
