Missing in Kellinghusen: Two women disappeared within hours!
In the small town of Kellinghusen, Schleswig-Holstein, the tension among the approximately 8,000 residents is noticeable. On December 1, 2025, two women disappeared from this tranquil city, and the police have now asked the population for support. The search for 22-year-old Kim-Lea B. and 73-year-old Svitlana T. is challenging because the two missing person cases are in close proximity to each other.
Kim-Lea B., who disappeared from her apartment on Lindenstrasse at 11:00 a.m., is described as being around 1.60 meters tall and strong. She has brown hair and was most recently wearing a black and green jacket from “The North Face”. What is striking is that she looks younger than she actually is. The police fear that she cannot rule out danger to herself. A few hours later, at 4 p.m., Svitlana T. was also reported missing, disappearing from her apartment on Lehmbergstrasse. She is around 1.68 meters tall, slim and spoke only Russian, which could make her orientation difficult. Svitlana is believed to have been dressed only in a black jacket and slippers.
The police get involved
The Schleswig-Holstein state police have already initiated extensive search operations, which also include the use of sniffer dogs. So far, however, all efforts to find the women have been unsuccessful. The apartments of the two missing people are only a few hundred meters apart. The criminal police in Itzehoe are hoping that information from the public can help clarify the cases. Kim-Lea B. is most worried because, as I said, danger to herself cannot be ruled out. The police are therefore asking anyone who has information about the missing people to call 04821 6020 or call 110.
These incidents should not be viewed in isolation. This year three women from Kellinghusen have already disappeared, making the situation even more worrying. The police registered a total of 360 missing people in Schleswig-Holstein, a considerable number of whom are long-term missing people. The question therefore arises among the population: What could be behind these mysterious disappearances?
A worrying trend
The case in Kellinghusen is part of a larger trend in Schleswig-Holstein, where around 360 people have been reported missing. According to information from the State Criminal Police Office, 361 of these are missing, 110 are young people under the age of 18 and 38 are children under the age of 14. Many missing person cases are resolved quickly, over 50 percent within the first week. Aside from recoveries, there are many long-term cases among the missing, adding to public concerns.
The situation in Kellinghusen remains tense, but the hope that the two women will return safely gives the citizens strength. The police will continue to take all available measures to clarify the cases and are urgently dependent on the citizens' help. Every clue can be crucial.
