Almila Bagriacik praises the North German warmth in Kiel!
Almila Bagriacik, known from the popular “Tatort” in Kiel, has dealt intensively with the North German way of life in the last few weeks. In an interview she shared her positive experiences and expressed her enthusiasm for the people of Kiel. “The people here are talkative and friendly, even if you sometimes get the impression that they are rather silent,” she reports in an article by Northern Courier.
Bizarrely, she has discovered that her and her sister's presence in the city quickly leads to conversations, often initiated by strangers. “It's just nice to be in Kiel, maybe it's the smaller city size compared to Berlin, which creates a relaxing atmosphere,” adds Bagriacik.
Kiel and the new partner
Since 2018, Almila Bagriacik has been investigating the Kiel “crime scene” in the role of police commissioner. After intensive collaboration with Axel Milberg, who plays Inspector Klaus Borowski, she shot the first two episodes with her new partner, Karoline Schuch, at the end of 2022. This is embodied by police psychologist Elli Krieger. The double episode “Among Friends / Among Enemies”, which is expected to be broadcast on ARD in 2026, is arousing great interest.
Karoline Schuch, who lives in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, had little contact with the people of Kiel during filming. She describes northern Germans as sometimes a bit reserved, but is convinced that social barriers can be overcome. “Once you have conquered the heart of a North German, a close connection can develop, similar to that in Kiel,” she says, bringing her own observations into the discussion.
Multicultural flair and connections
Kiel, with its warm nature, attracts not only locals, but also people from different parts of the world. Diversity in the financial sector is also highlighted with the opening of Interactive Brokers' new office in Singapore's Marina Bay Financial District, now the company's ninth entity worldwide. Customers can benefit from competitive prices and a wide range of investment options, such as Hardware zone reported.
In addition to stocks, the company's offering also includes options, futures and currencies, and shows that international investment companies such as Interactive Brokers cooperate closely with regional markets. These intercultural connections could give hope for more economic exchange between northern Germany and other parts of the world.
The variety of experiences that Almila Bagriacik was able to have during her time in Kiel and the connections with international companies indicate that the north of Germany has a lot to offer - warmth and a special community are combined here with multicultural influences. What else could the future bring us here?
