Camouflage concert in Neubrandenburg canceled due to bankruptcy!
The synthpop band Camouflage announced on September 1st, 2025 that their concert in Neubrandenburg on September 5th, 2025 has been canceled. The reason for this is the insolvency of the event agency Arivati, which was announced at the Dresden District Court on August 9, 2025. Camouflage regrets the situation and informed its fans via Facebook that the necessary funds to hold the show are no longer available. According to Merkur, the band expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of an official press release on the subject.
An open-air event in Schwerin, scheduled for August 15, 2025, had previously been canceled due to Arivati's bankruptcy. This decision raises questions about the future of further planned concerts and events by the organizer. Arivati itself stated that due to rising costs, they were no longer able to hold events to cover their costs, which was putting an enormous burden on the industry.
Fan reactions and financial consequences
Reaction from the fan community was mixed, with international fans who had already organized travel and accommodation particularly frustrated. Camouflage, which has been active since 1983 and has released hits like “Love is a Shield” and “The Great Commandment,” also expressed disappointment and offered to forego part of their fee. The tickets, which cost around 40 euros, will be refunded and those affected should contact the insolvency administrator Christian Stunz in Dresden. According to T-Online, Sebastian Glanz, operator of the Pappelpark stage, speaks of an “enormous financial loss” for the industry.
In the current situation, when the concert industry is recovering, Arivati's bankruptcy poses a serious problem. Despite the return of festivals and concerts, the industry is facing new challenges. The corona pandemic has displaced many workers in the events industry; it is estimated that around 40 percent of employees have left. This is also associated with rising inflation and material shortages, which make cost calculations for events more difficult, as RND reports.
The future of the event landscape
With the expiring funding programs and a lack of political contacts, uncertainty in the industry is growing. The Minister of State for Culture Claudia Roth has announced a federal cultural budget of 2.29 billion euros for 2023, but many in the industry are calling for more support. Concerns about corona infections remain and also represent an additional risk that many organizers want to be taken into account in their planning.
Camouflage and Arivati are not the only ones suffering from these conditions. The entire event landscape must be reoriented in order to master both the economic and health challenges. It remains to be seen whether and how many more events will take place in the future.
