Wismar celebrates democracy: Kick-off of the Days of Democracy” started!

A colorful spectacle of democracy began today in Wismar. Under the apt motto “Encounters WORK – Days of Democracy” a series of events is starting that will last until November 15th and aims to promote dialogue among citizens. The kick-off event, which will take place at 6 p.m. at the InnovationPort, includes a special film screening. The documentary “Surf’ on Europe” will be shown, which deals with European identity and the cohesion of young people. The opening speeches will be given by Mayor Thomas Beyer and Jana Michael, the integration officer for the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The topics: democratic culture and local responsibility – a successful introduction to the upcoming activities.

This series of events aims to not only strengthen democratic participation, but also to make the diversity in our society visible. Workshops, discussion rounds and cultural contributions are intended to create a space that invites people to think, participate and try things out. The sponsorship lies in the hands of local initiatives, educational institutions and committed citizens, all of whom have a good handle on this important matter.

A sign of openness

With this commitment, Wismar would like to send a strong signal for openness, participation and cohesion. The other program items will take place in schools, clubs and public spaces over the next few days. Anyone interested is warmly invited to take part in these events - entry to the opening event is even free!

Of course, it's not just participation in these activities that is important, but also the way we communicate with each other. At a time when digital solutions are becoming more and more popular, it could be helpful to think about AI-supported software, which not only has advantages in construction but also in other industries. For example, such software can improve the flow of information within companies and increase the accuracy of cost estimates, reducing the need to worry about administrative issues and focusing more on the individual needs of customers. A few examples? Faster bidding, intelligent lead processing or instant insights into past estimates are just a few of the many benefits such technology can bring.

In this sense, we welcome the initiatives in our region that enable us not only to live democracy but also to actively shape it. Because at the end of the day, it's about how we act as a community and live our values together.
