Handball heroines celebrate victory: 30 goals for the liberation strike!

On September 23, 2025, the MTV handball team will once again have a reason to be happy. In an exciting game against the home team from Waltringhausen they won with a final score of 21:30. The squad, small as it was, set off in the best weather and mastered the challenge with flying colors. Player Mille from Turkey was invited to the game and contributed to the good atmosphere with her performance.

The arrival in the well-filled sports hall was characterized by a relaxed but concentrated atmosphere. True to the motto “Well started, half won”, the start was only partially balanced. After the first 15 minutes, the team was already leading 3:7, thanks to strong defense and excellent saves from goalkeeper Charly. Even technical interruptions, such as the malfunction of the hall clock, did not upset the team.

Key moments and tactics

Tact was required as the team began to effectively exploit the opponent's weaknesses. The game went from an initial 4:7 to 6:13 after 25 minutes. The halftime score of 9:13 was a solid foundation on which the players were able to build on right at the start of the second half. A 1:3 run ensured that the lead continued to grow and the team was able to quickly increase to 8 goals.

When analyzing the game, it turned out that the sophisticated strategic adjustments in defense played an important role. It's amazing how the dynamic system of handball, which is comparable to a game of chess, can be thrown out of balance so quickly. The competition always tries to gain an advantage, which is clearly evident in the course of the game. The analyzed behavior of the players - both defensively and offensively - gave the team a clear advantage, which is not least due to the coaches Christian Winter and Prof. Dr. Thanks to Mark Pfeiffer, we are currently testing innovative methods of game analysis.

Technological support in handball

In this context, the new THSA-X app could represent an exciting novelty for trainers. It offers real-time data on throwing patterns, tactics and defensive strategies. Integrated video analyzes make it possible to record and analyze game scenes. This is particularly valuable for growing teams that want to quickly identify their weaknesses and strengths. After over 20 years of experience developing such analysis tools, the app is now available in 19 languages, making it easier to access.

Back to the game: Despite two time penalties that reduced the lead, the team kept up the pressure. With ten minutes left, the coach took a timeout to realign the players, and it paid off. A 2:4 run after the break quickly brought the old gap back. Two minutes before the end of the game the lead had increased to ten goals, and the last seven-meter penalty was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Cindy.

The joy of the victory is now huge, and the team is already looking forward to the next game against father Jahn Peine. "The next challenge is upon us. We are ready," said the players. All that remains to be said for all fans and supporters: the handball heart continues to beat!
