Anniversary celebration of the Child Protection Association: 50 years for children in Celle!

Kuckuckstraße 25, 29221 Celle, Deutschland - On June 16, 2025, a grandiose celebration took place in the Paul Klee School in Celle, which was the 50th anniversary of the Kinderschutzbund Ortsverband Celle e. V. celebrated. The rush was large - the inconspicuous premises at Kuckuckstraße 25 were far from enough to record the many invited guests. At 3:00 p.m. the first visitors were welcomed with a welcome drink before the official part of the event under the direction of the volunteer board member Bernd Menzel started at 3:30 p.m.

Menzel reviewed the history of the Child Protection Association. The German Child Protection Association was founded in 1953 and the local association in Celle followed in 1975. The former managing director Silvia Seibel reported on her experience from 35 years of committed work in the club during the celebration. The Katrin Dornbusch local association is currently being headed, which has been in office since 2023. She spoke about the move of the association and the central role that the Child Protection Association plays for society.

• Youth Council for young people interested in politics (Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
• Kidstreff for primary school children up to 12 years (Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
• Learning well -being for elementary school students (once a week)
• Schatzkiste (clothing, shoes, toys, books) Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (low cost contribution)

These multi -layered offers are designed to support children and families in difficult situations. The financial resources for the company are made available by the city of Celle, but additional donations are important to ensure the work of the Child Protection Association in the long term.

A musical highlight of the celebration were the performances of the student Sofia and the performance of the school band Room 55. During an entertaining break, those present were able to enjoy a finger food buffet from the "kitchen heroes". The next ceremony as part of the 50th anniversary will take place on June 21, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the site of the Child Protection Association. There is an anniversary with play stations, creative offers and even the circus bang bag for visitors.

Wiebke Wietschel, social secretary of the district, and Sebastian Stottmeier, City Councilor for Education and Social Affairs, did not miss the opportunity to convey their congratulations to the Child Protection Association.
