This August, 28 young people started their vocational training at Sparkasse Celle-Gifhorn-Wolfsburg. In a celebratory welcome at the headquarters in Gifhorn, Tim Faß and Dr. Bernd Schmid welcomes the new trainees. With great enthusiasm, they emphasized the importance of starting the world of work and the high regard that the Sparkasse has for its new employees. The group is made up of 24 aspiring bank clerks, three students of the dual “Banking & Sales” course and a digitalization management clerk.

The focus was particularly on the introductory weeks at Gut Sunder, which are intended to give the trainees not only the necessary knowledge, but also a sense of community for their new colleagues. “Here, great importance is placed on personal and professional development,” explained Diana Ciesla, one of the trainers. Supported by her colleagues Anna Kummerow and Sönke Brockmann, she emphasized the responsibility of trainees and the first steps into a career in the financial industry.

The path to professional life

Graduates of the dual degree programs in banking and finance are ideally prepared for a career in finance. Requirements and course content

  • In den ersten drei Semestern werden Grundlagen in Betriebs- und Volkswirtschaft sowie Rechnungswesen vermittelt.
  • Fortgeschrittene Semester beschäftigen sich mit Themen wie Bank-Controlling, Asset-Management und Krisenerkennung.

Depending on the model you choose, the course takes between three and four years. The students work closely with the savings bank, which guarantees practical training. Anyone who wants to immerse themselves in this exciting professional field should also have social skills and the ability to work in a team.
