The DenkmalKunst” festival returns to Hann. Münden back: art for everyone!

The anticipation for the cultural festival “DenkmalKunst-KunstDenkmal” is growing, because after a four-year break the event is finally returning to Hann. Münden. From October 3rd to 6th, historical buildings and half-timbered houses will open their doors to interested visitors. The different facets of art are presented in the form of paintings, sculptures and installations, all within a framework that honors traditional heritage and provokes contemporary interpretations. As Göttinger Tageblatt reports, the festival was originally launched in 2007 to protest against the demolition of a historic house.

The festival not only attracts artists from the local region, but also numerous talents from all over Germany. The event also receives support from Mayor Tobias Dannenberg, who points out the importance of committed full-time support. “The volunteers are the heart of the festival, but we also need professional help to get the festival off the ground,” he emphasizes.

Diverse events for everyone

A total of around 40 to 45 events are planned for 2026, including the train station as a new venue. The well-known “Sonnenuhrhaus” on Langen Straße remains the central site. In order to appeal to the general population, in addition to the exhibitions, many family-friendly offers, participatory activities and socio-cultural formats are being planned. A special project, “Each One Teach One”, is intended to strengthen cooperation between people from different backgrounds.

Around 7,000 visitors came to the last event in 2022, which impressively proves the popularity of the festival. A budget of around 250,000 euros is planned for the upcoming festival, which represents a positive increase compared to the 230,000 euros in 2022. Artists can apply to participate as early as December 2023. A jury will select the best entries, which will include both national and regional solo and group exhibitions.

Tickets and registration

Advance ticket sales begin in the run-up to Christmas, with a season ticket costing around 40 euros until Easter. The anticipation is great and the first preparations are already in full swing. The festival promises to be a true celebration of art and culture that brings people together and promotes exchange.

And while local art is the focus here, there are also exciting developments in the world of television series. In the popular series *Emmerdale*, Ross Barton plans his revenge against a villager. The conflict arises in connection with Caleb Miligan and leads to an unexpected situation when Caleb's daughter Stephanie shows up and hints at a romance with Ross. Here it becomes clear that the world of entertainment is also about exciting twists and turns, and not just here in the north. A look at the latest developments shows that there are many stories waiting to unfold here too, as Emmerdales News reports.
