A bitter setback for FC Lindenberg: U15 narrowly loses against Göttingen!
The last matchday was in the C-Youth 2. District class qualification B for an exciting duel between FC Lindenberg Adelebsen and MF Göttingen U15 II. The two teams met at the sports field in Lödingsen and the spectators were not disappointed. Go kick reports that the game ended with a narrow score of 1:2. Coach Hartwig Herwig from FC Lindenberg gave everything, but had to let the game end without any points.
The home team took a 1-0 lead through Niklas Herwig in the 17th minute. But the joy didn't last long: Mila Maria Faulstich equalized for MF Göttingen just 15 minutes later, and two minutes later Emilia Schneider gave Göttingen a 2-1 lead. Coach Dennis von Ahlen's team was able to defend this narrow lead until the final whistle, even though the second half ended without any further goals. Referee Tristan Kulipper led the game confidently.
The first points are a long time coming
The history of the game shows that the C juniors not only have to work on their technique, but also on their mental strength. In this age group, which mostly includes 13 and 14 year old players, a crucial development phase is often noticeable. Soccer training highlights that during this time players experience major jumps and fluctuations in performance, both physically and in their strategic understanding of the game.
After this defeat, FC Lindenberg Adelebsen is still waiting for its first points of the current season. The team hopes to compete in the next game, which will take place on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. against FC Gleichen in Groß Lengden. MF Göttingen U15 II also has their sights set on their next game: Saturday at 4:30 p.m. against RSV II in Geismar.
Training and development
In the C-youth phase, training becomes increasingly more intensive and performance-oriented. Players have to adapt to the changing demands not only athletically but also mentally. The move from D to C junior age marks a significant step—the focus is on complex tactical exercises that promote athleticism and positioning in space. This also means that players must learn to manage their time between school and sports skillfully.

Coaches are faced with the challenge of focusing on the individual development perspective of each player and maintaining a positive team atmosphere.
