Goalless derby: SC Rosdorf II and SV Sieboldshausen share points!

The first showdown in the new season of the 2nd district class south brought a goalless but exciting derby between SC Rosdorf II and SV Sieboldshausen. In this emotional duel that took place today, August 12, 2025, both teams failed to get the ball over the line. Despite the zero number, which seems disappointing at first glance, there were many gripping scenes that thrilled the numerous viewers.

In the preparations for the new season, SC Rosdorf II showed that the team was concentrating on intensive training. However, the preparation was only moderately successful with a single test match that ended 2-2 against the Hainberg reserves. In contrast, SV Sieboldshausen was able to look back on a much more successful preparation, in which they won three games. This made it clear that the guests went into the derby with a certain amount of self-confidence, while Rosdorf had to appear a little more shaky.

Game history and highlights

From the start, the game was characterized by an intense midfield battle, with both teams' defenses failing to do much good. However, SC Rosdorf II was active offensively, but was still unable to take advantage of the good form of guest goalkeeper Malte Körber-Harriehausen. On the other hand, Rosdorf keeper Ali Sahin saved his team from falling behind with several strong saves. The first 45 minutes were characterized by a balanced style of play, with one or two opportunities on both sides.

The pace increased in the second half. Both teams had their chances to win the game, but neither of them found the decisive way to the goal. Referee Kalle Kurmes led the game confidently and ensured a fair competition between the two rivals.

Special features and outlook

Despite the sparse barbecue offerings, as only drinks were sold and the grill remained cold, the fans were very happy to see each other again. The next game for SC Rosdorf II is already around the corner, where they will play against Bonaforther SV on the same day. SV Sieboldshausen will play in the district cup against SG Ballenhausen/Groß Schneen II on August 22nd and will then play against Sparta Göttingen II on August 24th. It remains exciting to see whether the teams can score the necessary points from these encounters.
