A lot of work is currently being done on the vineyard climb in Goslar: the Goslar city forestry department is redesigning the popular forest adventure trail. Under the leadership of the dedicated forester Paula Machunze, a new experience is being created for young and old. The aim is to make the city forest accessible to everyone in a playful way. The newly designed path will have a total of ten stations over around 2.9 kilometers, some of which are in cooperation with local organizations and clubs.

Particularly noteworthy are the planned highlights, which are intended to make the forest experience even more exciting. The narrow hiking trails are currently being straightened and widened using a mini excavator. Old signs may also be removed - new information will soon adorn the route. Benches along the path offer the opportunity to pause for a while during a hiking time of around 90 minutes. The official opening is planned for the fall, but the weather will play a crucial role in keeping to the schedule.

The forest adventure trail starts at the Nonnenweg/Claustorwall intersection and takes visitors to the idyll of the Frankenberg pond. Nature lovers can not only relax here, but also observe the local fauna - ducks and other water birds feel particularly at home there. A prominent sign marks the entrance to the route, which is decorated with yellow arrows. These guide hikers through the area and invite them to linger at the various stations.

The stations are full of activities: whether it's balancing, playing sticks or solving fairy-tale puzzles - there's something for everyone. Children and adults are invited to awaken their senses and discover the forest in all its facets. The opportunity to have a picnic at the Frankenberg pond rounds off the experience.
