Flood warning in Rinteln: water levels on the Weser are rising dramatically!

On September 6, 2025, there is a risk of flooding along the Weser in northern Germany. The current water levels are cause for concern, particularly in and around Rinteln. At the same time, a similar picture can be seen in other cities along the Weser. The level in Hamelin is around 60 cm, which is 63 percent below the average. In Porta Westfalica and Vlotho the water levels at 101 cm and 101 cm are also well below the historical average.
