100 years of tradition: Fleischerei Hartwiger & Petersen celebrates anniversary!

In the small town of Sohlingen, an important anniversary was recently celebrated: The butchery "Hartwiger & Petersen" can look back on a proud 100 years of successful existence. The traditional facility was founded in 1925 by Franz Breuker and has since developed into an indispensable part of the region. Dirk Petersen is currently being managed, who has been a butcher since 1998 and took responsibility in 2001. He is supported by his father Theo Petersen, who is also active in the company, as well as many committed employees.

The eventful history of the butcher tells of tradition and change. In 1949 the daughter of Franz Breuker, Wilma, Paul Hartwiger married. This connection led to the takeover of the company in 1952. The numerous conversions and extensions that followed show that the butcher's shop is firmly rooted not only in the heart of the family, but also at the Uslar location. In particular, the opening of a branch in 1959 at Neustädter Platz in Uslar was an important step into the future of the company.

Dirk Petersen thanked his employees, namely Elke Fetter and Klaus-Dieter Kobbe, for their commitment.

A large number of craftsmen and surrounding companies have learned to appreciate the high standard that the butcher sets. The products are always offered fresh and at fair prices, which results in numerous positive reviews, for example, for the excellent quality of meat and sausage products. The butcher can also proudly report on its special onion meat, which is considered the best.

generation change and future prospects

Family history is continued by the current generation, because Jan Petersen, as a descendant in the fifth generation, has already entered the company as a journeyman. This shows impressively that the family tradition in the butcher is not only preserved, but also developed further. The work of the Chamber of Crafts, which always makes a high priority on training and quality, plays a crucial role here and ensures that the craft also has existed in the future.

The "Hartwiger & Petersen" butcher remains not only an important employer in the region, but also a place where craft tradition meets modern business.
