Singing together in Osnabrück: melodies under the summer sky!

On July 18, 2025 it will be time again for a big singing together in Osnabrück. In pleasant summer temperatures, the singing group meets in the backyard of Meller Straße 149, very close to the Forum for Musical Adult Education. From 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., music lovers are invited to sing new and familiar songs. Accompanied by Nicola Steiner, who provides the right sound with her guitar, there will be an inviting atmosphere that encourages you to sing along.

If just singing isn't enough for you, you can add poems or short stories to the music if you wish. This is the stage for creative minds and all those who would like to share their thoughts and feelings with others. And don't worry: no prior musical experience is required. The singing circle is also ideal for trial participants who just want to get a taste of it.

Participation details

The participation fee is 7 euros, and for members of the Forum for Musical Adult Education it is only 5 euros. The event is a wonderful opportunity to express yourself musically and perhaps make new friends. Those interested can contact: info@fmeev.de or register by phone on 0541 685 537 22.

The event reflects the rich potential that music has in cultural education. Music touches, arouses emotions and is not just a passive experience, but can be actively played and produced. It serves as an outlet for emotional expression and finds its place in many areas of life.

Music in cultural education

The role of music in education is diverse. According to the Federal Agency for Civic Education Important aspects include early musical education, music lessons in schools and instrumental lessons. Participating in bands and ensembles offers an excellent opportunity to make music in a community and become part of cultural youth movements.

Music also intersects with political topics, for example through discussions of political song content. It makes it possible to question social processes and actively address issues such as gender inequality. Therefore, participating in the singing group is not only a musical but also a culturally enriching experience.
