The evasive maneuver caused the woman's vehicle to stray onto the grass verge and skid. The mishap ended with the car overturning and landing in the adjacent ditch. The driver and her two children, aged 7 and 5, complained to the police about chest pain and were immediately taken to hospital for further treatment. The material damage amounts to around 30,000 euros. Meanwhile, the other car continued its journey, which subsequently worried the police.

Search for fugitive Audi driver

Another serious accident recently occurred on Theodor-Heuss-Straße in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt news38.de reported. On Wednesday, January 10th, around 10:20 p.m., a 27-year-old Audi driver and a VW Polo with three occupants collided head-on. While the Audi driver only suffered minor injuries, the Polo driver and his 21-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

During the course of the investigation, it emerged that the Audi driver was presumably drunk and a breath alcohol test could not be carried out because he fled in the ambulance during transport. The police then initiated several criminal proceedings against him, and the search efforts were initially unsuccessful. The total damage to the two vehicles is estimated at around 20,000 euros. The accident site had to be closed for around three and a half hours while experts and the fire department were on duty.
