Massive motorway closures in northern Germany: traffic jams and diversions!
Last weekend there were significant traffic delays in northern Germany, which forced drivers to be patient, especially on the A7, A23, A1 and A261 motorways. The closures had various causes that disrupted the travel plans of many road users.
The situation was particularly tense on the A7 in Hamburg between Stellingen and Heimfeld. The Elbe Tunnel was also affected and remained closed until 5 a.m. Monday morning. There was also a single-lane regulation between Quickborn and Schnelsen-Nord due to asphalt work, which led to a real traffic jam between Quickborn and Kaltenkirchen on Friday. New construction sites are also on the horizon: construction work will begin on Monday on the A7 towards Flensburg between Schnelsen-Nord and Henstedt-Ulzburg. There are also restrictions at the Buchholzer triangle, where the access roads from the A1 to the A261 from Bremen and Lübeck are closed until Monday at 5 a.m. in order to carry out surface layer renovation.
Full closures on the A1 and A23
The A1 in Lower Saxony was also the focus of traffic disruptions, as the route between Vechta and Cloppenburg was completely closed until 5 a.m. Monday morning. The reason lies in the demolition of four bridges that date from the 1960s; New bridges are to be built in their place in the coming months. Motorists should also prepare for another full closure of the A1 in spring 2026.
But it wasn't just the A1 that was affected. On the A23 near Pinneberg in the direction of Heide, drivers had to expect another closure from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on November 10th and 11th. This involved dismantling construction site facilities and partition walls. The traffic diversion took travelers through Pinneberg and past the Pinneberg-Nord entrance ramp. However, there is good news: From Wednesday, after the work has been completed, the route between Hamburg and the North Sea will be open again.
Musical sounds in the region
Above all, the direct style and use of colloquial expressions make the artists' pieces appealing to a young audience. The repeated choruses and lively verse animations ensure that people can immediately get along with the beat. The attraction and dynamics between the protagonists in the texts reflect the reality of many young people.
Overall, it remains to be seen how the traffic situation on the motorways will continue to develop. The upcoming construction sites and repairs show that patience is required as the music scene in northern Germany continues to be enriched by creative sounds.
