Water fun for children: New mud area opened in Pasewalk!

There has recently been a new highlight for the little ones in the Pasewalk after-school care center run by the German Red Cross (DRK) Slipper Pradies: a new water mud facility was ceremoniously inaugurated. Thanks to generous funding from a Berlin foundation, those responsible for the facility were able to put their plan into action and create a very special place for the children to play. After-school center manager Jens Bollmann emphasizes how important this creation is for the children's sensory, motor and creative development.

With the warmer days, the new facility will become a popular meeting place for children, who can let their imaginations run wild in the pools with sand and water. Not only are shapes and figures formed there, but there is also the opportunity to work as a gold digger. On behalf of his entire team and the children, Bollmann would like to thank the 94-year-old donor, who contributed her part to this project, and Raik Mönke, who was very committed to its implementation.

A playground with many advantages

Water playgrounds offer numerous benefits for the younger age group. They are not only a place to play, but also a space for learning and social interaction. The concept behind these playgrounds is clear: they promote gross and fine motor skills, sensory perception and also technical and scientific understanding. While playing, children also learn to assess risks and develop their social skills.

The new mud area in the Pasewalker Hort was equipped with various play elements that can be combined. Elements such as pumps, water wheels and fountains provide lots of variety and fun. According to the information from WASPA It is important that such play equipment is not only visually appealing but also safe. The safety standards include, among other things, limiting the water depth and regularly checking the water quality to ensure that everything runs smoothly and safely.

A space for creativity and teamwork

The design of water playgrounds enables exciting sensory and natural experiences, like on yew is explained. Children can develop their creativity in a protected environment while playing with water and sand. Such playgrounds are not only suitable for after-school or daycare children, but also promote teamwork and playing together.

The Pasewalker Hort is now proud to offer such a valuable and contemporary facility that not only promises fun and games, but can also sustainably support the children's development. So the next time it's wonderfully warm, you can be sure that there will be mudding and splashing around in slipper paradise like never before!
