Discover the new exhibitions in the Cathedral Museum: dates and highlights!
Things really get going in December at the Hildesheim Cathedral Museum! The latest event dates surrounding the exhibition “The Circulation of Work, Capital and Life as a Supply Chain” by Alice Creischer and Andreas Siekmann have been announced. This exciting show, which opened on October 29, 2025, will be on view until April 6, 2026. A topic that affects us all and makes us think.
Particularly attentive visitors should note Tuesday, December 2, 2025: on this day there will be a special event where entry is free and a public tour will take place at 2:00 p.m. If you can't go on that day, you don't have to be sad: there will be a free exhibition tour on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, but this will involve an entry fee. Ms. Kehe takes the lead and promises to be exciting.

The cathedral foyer also remains closed on public holidays - from December 24th to 26th and at the turn of the year. So if you have plans, you should think ahead!
Circulation in the broadest sense
The term “circulation” has a long historical meaning. Originally used from alchemy to astronomy to economics, it refers to the circling, orbiting and movement of something in a closed system. To be more precise, the term ticks like perfect clockwork: it's about exchange, movement and exactly what it takes to keep ideas and goods flowing. If you would like to find out more about the development of the word, we recommend the detailed description on DWDS, which goes into the versatile uses of the term: from money and goods to the bloodstream to general ideas and messages DWDS.
In this context, the exhibition also enjoys great interest. Visitors come not only to see the works, but also to think about the themes behind these works. An exciting development that breathes new life into the museum. The agency Museumsreif, which specializes in exhibition planning and conception, has made it possible over the years to integrate not only creative but also interactive solutions into the exhibitions in order to offer visitors an unforgettable experience Museumsreif.
So, off to the exhibition! Whether alone or with friends – a visit to the Cathedral Museum will certainly be enriching and thought-provoking. Perhaps this opportunity will also provide an interesting conversation about the circulation of ideas, materials or even ways of life. An experience that will stay in your memory!
